April weddings back again with torrential rain. I literally have been able to say I never have had a wedding where it rained the entire day and this April decided I was no longer going to be able to say that. Earlier in the month I had a wedding where it poured the entire day and then bam, same thing for Lexi and Tyler’s big day. But if rain is good luck I know this couple will be together forever!
Lexi and Tyler’s wedding, while not to plan with the weather, ran perfectly. Everything came together and was absolutely beautiful so even though the weather was not all rainbows and sunshine the rest of the day was. Lexi and Tyler chose a gorgeous color palette for their late spring wedding of Navy and shades of purple. The shades of purple were played up by the bridesmaids having different colors of dresses, as well as the gorgeous florals. I loved the hydrangeas in them. I have never seen hydrangeas in wedding florals until this wedding, and I hope I see it a thousand times more because it is absolutely beautiful and such a good filler for florals. It helps you have the look of a full and large bouquet without having 900 flowers. Combo-ed with the purple flowers and some greenery and I was seriously obsessed. These are some of my favorite florals I have ever seen. What made them even better is the shades of purple in the florals perfectly coordinated with the shades of purple in the bridesmaid’s dresses. I have said it once, and will say it again, I love when girls have mismatching styles of dresses, but color? GIMME. Plus somehow Lexi managed to have each girl in the absolutely perfect shade of purple for them. They all looked so good! Besides gorgeous florals and colors, we also had some sunshine while the girls were getting ready so we were able to do a champagne spray and toast, as well as just enjoy some sunshine before the rain. Tyler and Lexi also had the best cake I have ever had. Overall the details of this day, unlike the weather, were beautiful.
While I knew Lexi was disappointed in having to move everything in doors, her girls kept the spirts high. They were seriously the ultimate hype team, and the guys were the same. They were all so excited, especially Lexi’s long time best friend Sierra, who cried as she watched Lexi walk down the aisle. Honestly this bridal party was the total package. They were excited during getting ready, kept telling the bride and groom how good they looked. They were upbeat and excited during photos, keeping the vibe positive even though we were fighting off pouring rain, and having to carry dresses, and umbrellas. They were tearing up during the ceremony and every single person had a big smile on their face. They were tearing up the dance floor during the reception and keeping it fun. Honestly this bridal party was everything you could ask for and want in a bridal party.
I have been looking forward to this wedding since Lexi and Tyler booked, and it was all because of them. These two are so easy and enjoyable to be around. They light up the room, and kept such a positive and up beat spirit throughout the entire day. I know it was not what they had planned for, but honestly you would of never known because of how positive they were all day. But then again I think these two were pretty over the moon about getting married, but how could they not be? These two have been together since college and with a cute house and a fur baby together they were ready to start this journey as husband and wife. That was very evident as they read their personal vows to each other before the ceremony. Let me tell you, tears all around. The love these two have it so sweet, and it was such a pleasure to be the one who documented it.
