Late Summer Tradition Filled Wedding at Saint Francis and Ceruti’s

Saint Francis and Ceruti’s | Fort Wayne, Indiana

Do you every just have a wedding with so many gorgeous portraits that you want to fill an entire blog post with them? Because same. The Marin wedding is definitely one of those weddings, and I am not going to even apologize about it because I am pretty sure once you see the photos you will understand why.

Ashlyn and Juan’s wedding day did not go as expected. They were set to get married late April, but Covid had different plans. So Ashlyn and Juan rescheduled for August and I just prayed it could happen, and obviously it did. We had the prettiest August day. 70 with a slight breeze, partly sunny, literally perfect wedding which these two definitely deserved after having to wait an extra 4 months to get married. But besides the gorgeous weather, we had an all around gorgeous day. We started with photos at Saint Francis, where Ashlyn and Juan shared the sweetest first look. We then did all their photos at Saint Francis which complimented their gorgeous color scheme. Seriously I always joke about how when I get married the color palette will be the hardest part, but I am so serious, especially because Ashlyn and Juan’s colors just became one of my new favorites. Like I can not get over the gorgeous grey with the ashy grey blue. Seriously so stunning. Their color palette was further complimented by their florals, which I loved. Other honorable mentions when it comes to details include Ashlyn’s cathedral veil. Honestly should of expected this from me because I am literally obsessed with long veils. Also wanted to highlight Ashlyn’s bridesmaids gorgeous mismatching styles when it came to their bridesmaids dresses. Honestly that is hands down my favorite look.

Now it wouldn’t be a Abigail Saalfrank blog post if I didn’t next comment on how much I loved the bridal party, so let me tell you I adored this group. I actually photographed Lauren’s, Ashlyn’s MOH, wedding last year, so to shoot Ashlyn’s wedding and have Lauren be the MOH this time was so much fun. Ashlin was such a huge help last year and is the reason I took such an amazing photo with Lauren’s dress flying in the wind, so the pressure was definitely on for Lauren but I think she totally killed it. But outside of having another amazing wedding with a killer MOH, everyone else in this wedding was equally awesome. They were lively and hilarious, totally excited for Ashlyn and Juan, and just excited to be there. I have honestly never seen such a pumped up bridal party. I wish I had a video to show everyone of the dance floor once it became open dances because this bridal party was the ultimate hype team all day and night.

Now to get to what you are really here for, Ashlyn and Juan. These two were so excited to get married, and I am talking like over the moon, jumping up and down excited. I honestly do not know if I have ever had a couple this excited to be getting married and to be husband and wife. It was such a sweet thing to watch because these two are truly a match made in heaven. I honestly spent a good chunk of this wedding crying. Ashlyn’s dad gave the sweetest father of the bride speech about Ashlyn and Juan’s love story. Their first dance was sweet and sentimental. The way these two spend the whole night by each other’s side, never separating. These two were just so cute together and so giddy, and filled with love that it honestly made my job so easy. They are so naturally loving and giggly together. They remind me of like young love where just nothing else matters but each other and it was so sweet to watch and document. I am so thankful I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer.
