August weddings were so good this year, but then again I was a little bias towards the Stone Wedding. You see I have known Bre since high school, and we actually even went to college together. We had a class together one semester too, and I swear she was the only reason I made it through because that professor so sucked. But all this to say that I remember the first time Bre texted me about the cute new guy at work, Johnny. I remember her telling me how much of a crush she had on him, and every little conversation they shared. Then suddenly they went on a date which turned into dating, an engagement, and now here we are and I am blogging their wedding. It seriously feels like just yesterday she was even telling me about him and now I am blogging their wedding. Honestly feels crazy.
This August wedding packed some seriously heat, but Bre and Johnny did not let the 90 degree air stop them from having one gorgeous wedding day. Plus once we were in shade and shooting photos it honestly was not even that bad. But when you have a good wedding party, a cute couple, and some good details the weather is least on the importance. Bre and Johnny had such a pretty summer wedding. With the color palette of wine, steel grey, and harvest gold I knew it was going to be pretty and it was. Bre had the prettiest flowers picked out for her girls and everyone on social media went crazy for them when I posted them. how could you not though with those gorgeous huge sunflowers and the gorgeous red roses. Bre had her girls in grey and her maid of honor in wine and it was such a pretty combo. Grey bridesmaids dresses are just so flattering, and the wine dress made Bre’s maid of honor really pop. Plus this looked so good with the guys grey suits. Bre and Johnny were so smart in eliminating the jackets for the guys so they were not dripping on a hot August day. Overall the details of the day were just so well done. But I do have to mention my favorite detail of the day was that Bre and Johnny took pictures of their dogs with different letters and used them as the table numbers, it was so cute and such a fun personal touch!
The bridal party for Bre and Johnny’s wedding were champions, and yes I am saying this because they stood outside for photos and an outdoor ceremony in 90 degree weather. They didn’t even complain once which really should of won all of them an award. They were so upbeat and so positive the entire day making the overall day just that much better and that much more enjoyable. There is nothing worse then a negative bridal party, but this one was probably the most positive I have worked with. They truly made the 90 degrees feel not so bad.
Like I previously stated, I remember the beginning of these two’s relationship all too well, and it truly feels like yesterday they were just talking and now they are husband and wife. CRAZY. Time is moving way too fast if you ask me. But these two are seriously just as giddy and excited about each other as they were when I was first hearing about their relationship. Honestly to see them so many years later still so in love, if not more, and still just as excited as the beginning made me so happy for these two. They are truly such a perfect match. I know their kids are going to tell their friends about how much their parents are soul mates, and they may even gross their kids out with how much they love each other. But to me, it is so sweet to watch a friend of mine be so happy and so in love with someone who just thinks the absolute world of them.
