Barn at Milkhouse Lane | Mooresville, Indiana
Don’t mind me catching up on blogging here. But life gets hectic and my priority is to get my clients their photos over their blog posts so sometimes I have to catch up. But we are here, catching up and getting back on track with a promise to be better. I did not realize how much chaos 2020 was going to bring with my spring brides all had to move to fall and it slightly got the best of me here, but now we are back and better then ever!
Elizabeth and Cameron could not have had a prettier November day to get married. I swear to you I have had a handful of November weddings and usually they are cold and everyone is freezing but Elizabeth and Cameron had a gorgeous 65 degree day. It was truly the perfect weather which went right along with this seriously perfect day. Honestly there were so many great things about this day it is really hard to pick one to start with, but I think the venue is a point to begin at. Elizabeth and Cameron got married at the Barn at Milkhouse Lane and let me tell you it provided so many gorgeous backdrops for the day. The barn is a gorgeous weathered grey color which perfectly complimented their color palette of shades of mauve and navy. Let me tell you these colors just popped against the barn. But there was also the gorgeous wheat fields that we used for sunset photos. Honestly just a fantastic venue that offered so many backdrops and fit the color scheme of the day perfectly. Speaking of the color palette I was obsessed with the shades of mauve and navy. It was so pretty! It looked incredible with the wedding parties attire. Everyone knows I am a sucker for a navy suit but combo it with the bridesmaids dresses which were mismatched styles and had two different shades of mauve, it was seriously so pretty! Seeing amazing color palettes like this is why I am going to struggle so much when I get married some day to pick one. Besides the venue and the color palette there was also some gorgeous florals. Elizabeth and some of her bridesmaids actually assembled the bouquets themselves and let me tell you they were so well done. They were the perfect mix of white flowers and greenery, just further playing up the gorgeous mauve shades and navy throughout the day.
Elizabeth and Cameron also had a huge and amazing bridal party. Seriously this might of been the biggest bridal party I have ever photographed and I was here for it. They were all so sweet, so excited, and just so supportive of the bride and groom. You could tell that every member of this bridal party loved the bride and groom totally and completely, and were 100% about them tying the knot. It was so sweet to watch and let’s be real this bridal party as totally awesome in general. I wish everyone could of seen them tearing up the dance floor, heard the heartfelt speeches, and just spent the day with them. This was such a good group together and honestly just super enjoyable to be around. They also made sure Evan and I both ate dinner, and we were never without water. It is always so thoughtful when a member or members of the bridal party go out of their way to love on us while we are shooting the wedding.
Now to why we were all there, Elizabeth and Cameron. I adore this couple. Seriously. They are so sweet, so loving, so gentle with each other and it is such a testament to true love. This is one of those couples you know will be sitting in rocking chairs on their front porch when they are 80 and still just madly in love. Seriously these two just made my job easy, between the way they look at each other, but also the way they interact with each other. I wish I could photograph these two every day.
