The Lodge at River Valley Farm | Muncie, Indiana
Only three more weddings to blog before I am fully caught up on blogging! GO ME. But seriously I feel like I need a pat on the back because I slacked so much on blogging and I kicked my butt into gear and finally got caught up. I mean who doesn’t love the feeling of finally being caught up on work. But as always with being a business owner, the work doesn’t stop here. I still have plenty of other work to be done, but blogging is coming close to being caught up! Part of being caught up also comes from having a very mild August. Last year August was the busiest month with 4 weddings, and two being over 5 hours way, but this year it was nice and mild and I kicked it off with the most gorgeous August wedding I could of asked for.
Before I even talk about details I need to talk about this venue. This is my first time at The Lodge at River Valley Farm and I hope it is certainly not my last. This venue is STUNNING. There is a gorgeous building for your reception with high ceilings and a ton of natural light. There is the gorgeous woodside ceremony site complete with a gorgeous gazebo that truly was breathtaking. There is the adorable farm house for the girls getting ready space which included soooo much space and gorgeous natural lighting. Also when I say so much space I mean it. So many getting ready spaces are crowded and not made with more then like two people in mind, this one was perfect for the bridal party to have all the space they needed. They also had a cute little cabin by the woods for the guys. Talk about dreamy when there is getting ready space for everyone, and it is perfect for photos because of the natural light. There was also the sweetest venue coordinator who checked on Evan and I so many times. This is definitely a venue to consider if you are looking for one. Plus there were so many gorgeous spots for photos, and so much room for guest to enjoy outdoor space. It was perfect. But obviously a perfect venue has to come with perfect details which it totally did! Abigail and Daniel chose the prettiest color palette of Navy, Rust, and Blush. I did not realize how obsessed I would be over this color palette. It was absolutely perfect for a summer wedding, but it seriously could work in any season. The girls looked stunning in their rust colored dresses, and it was such a different color to see the girls in that I loved it even more. The bridesmaids also had mismatching bridesmaid dresses which as you know is such a favorite of mine because all these girls chose dresses that so perfectly complimented their personalities and bodies. It was like each dress was designed for them. This color palette was carried into the flowers which were just beautiful. I was so obsessed with the flowers I wished I could have taken them home. They were just totally stunning bouquets in every way. Abigail and Daniel also did such a great job keeping this color palette going into both the ceremony and reception spaces, and throughout all the small details of their day. I could literally go on about the details of this day forever.
I would swear to you that I never have a bad bridal party, but I am scared to jinx myself. This bridal party was so flippen good. Abigail was surrounded by her closest friends and family, her sister and cousin, but also all her close friends from nursing school. It was so cool to see her posts about them going through school together, then graduating, and now being all together for her wedding. These girls were just such a good group. They were close knit, giggly, and so pretty. Seriously Abigail chose such a photogenic group, plus their mismatching bridesmaids dresses were sooooo dreamy. I loved them. Daniel’s guys were just as great. They were outgoing and fun to work with, as well as humorous, and made Daniel laugh really hard for some really great candid photos. They took their jobs as groomsmen seriously and were just such a great part of the day.
Abigail and Daniel were obviously the best part of the day. They looked soooo good, like seriously Daniel rocked that navy suit and Abigail was such the gorgeous bride. Their day was dreamy, but so where these two. They were so excited about getting married, so happy the entire day, and truly such a joy to be around. These two are two of the sweetest and most kind people I know and that was even more evident by what was said about them by Abigail’s dad, and the two bridal party speeches. These two are the type of people that just make those around them feel good and feel loved. They were all smiles the entire day, especially when they were near each other. I am talking ear to ear smiles and grins. They shared laughter and just so much joy on their big day and honestly I am so sad that their big day is over!
