I feel like I start off a lot of wedding blog posts with talking about the weather, but this one I just have to. Caity and Hunter’s wedding took place in early July, and I honestly was preparing for one hot day. After all summer weddings, especially July weddings always come with some heat. I was preparing a little more too because they were having an outdoor reception, which can I just say more people should do that? Anyways, think July in Indiana, now forget everything you thought because I know you are probably waiting for me to say it was so hot. But that would be 100% wrong. Caity and Hunter were blessed with a 65 and cloudy day for their wedding and honestly it was gorgeous. I partially think it was God giving me a little help after my last wedding was nearly 90 degrees with brutal sun, but either way the weather was out of a dream.
Along with the dreamy weather, which let’s be real I could talk about that allllll day, mainly because I love some good weather on a wedding day. This day just had so many pretty details that I could also easily talk about all day. I am going to start with the color palette like always. Caity and Hunter chose a gorgeous color palette that was shades of blue. I had a wedding with a similar color palette a few years ago and I have been dying to see it since because it is STUNNING. I love shades of blue and think it is such a classic wedding palette for all seasons. The shades of blue went throughout the entire wedding day, even all the way to Caity’s pale blue heels, which was the best way to get in the something blue if you ask me. But the blues in the florals were just so stunning, and I loved the pale blue ribbon which hung from each one. I also loved the shades of blue carrying into the bridesmaids dresses, especially with the maid of honor having a navy blue. Such a fun little pop and way to make your maid of honor stand out. It was also just perfect with the navy suits, but I have always been such a fan of navy suits. They just always look so good on the guys!
This bridal party was so great, but I will be a 100% honest that my favorite part of the bridal party was Caity’s nieces and nephews as the flower girls and ring bearers. They were SO CUTE. They totally stole the show when they walked in during the ceremony. They were also just so well behaved. I have never had flower girls and ring bearers who were so good during the entire day. But seriously I can not even get over just how cute they were. Besides the cutest little kids ever, there was also a super great bridal party. Caity’s girls were all so sweet and so cheery the entire day. They also got stuff done. Let me tell you they handled everything and made sure everything went smoothly. Hunter’s guys were also sweet, and brought a lot of humor and joy to the day. He also had his sister as a grooms-woman which I thought was so cute and such a sweet touch!
Now to the best part of the day, the bride and groom, obviously. These college sweethearts were so excited about getting married, and it was so sweet to watch. I always love when a bride and groom can just not contain their excitement as their make their way to the first look. But then again after several years together you are probably pretty excited to officially be husband and wife! These two were excited all day, and really enjoyed their wedding day fully. They were radiating with happiness and love and truly spent the day just glowing. They made my job so easy because the way these two look at each other and interact with each other just shows how strong their love for one another is.
